Aloha K-9ners, The Board of Directors of the Ala Wai K-9 Playground Association would like to invite you to our 2nd Annual Membership meeting to be held on Sunday Jan 4, 2008 at 2pm at the Ala Wai Plaza 500 University Avenue. The meeting will be held in the recreation area. According to our Bylaws article 1 section 2, dues are payable on or before January. Membership fees can be paid at the annual meeting or by mailing to Ala Wai K-9 Association, 731 Kamoku Street, Honolulu, HI 96826 Membership Fees: $ 25 Individual $ 40 Family $100 Sponsor The following names have been suggested by your present board of directors for 2009 thru 2011. A meeting will be held on the 3rd Friday of each month. Chairperson…………Sandy Edrich Vice Chair ……Nina Tabion Secretary…………….Carol Okasaki Treasure……………..Shaunna Tabor Park Development…..Pierre Jaffuel Marketing Director….Cammy Samora Description of Board Positions: Founder: Advises board based on past experiences Consultation as needed Attends annual membership meeting Chairperson: Negotiates with politicians, figureheads Creates agenda for board meetings Delegates tasks to board members Attends board meetings and annual membership meeting Vice-Chairperson: Stands in Chair’s absence at all meetings Assist board meetings and annual membership meeting Secretary: Facilitates minute taking at all meetings and disperses minutes via email to board and/or members Correspondence and communication to members and community Attends board meetings and annual membership meeting Treasurer: Bookkeeping Taxes Banking Maintains logo product inventory Attends board meetings and annual member meeting Creates financial reports for meetings Oversees Membership committee Collects dues Maintains member list Coordinates Annual membership meeting Creates committees and delegates responsibilities to appropriate members on those committees Marketing Director: Logo management Advertising Oversees Event Planning Committee Coordinates fund raising dinners, walks, Pet Expo and all other fundraising events Creates report for meetings Oversees website committee Advertising, photography and video management Attends board meetings and annual membership meeting Creates report for meetings Park Development Director Negotiates development details with DPR, City Council, engineers, architects, etcetera in conjunction with Chair Coordinates permits, design and parameters of development with landscape Please join us in support of our off-leash dog park.
